June 24, 2008:  Austin Tech Employees Earn More Than Twice the Average Private Sector Wage, Reports AeA

Cybercities 2008 examines the high-tech industry in the nation’s 60 largest metro areas focusing on tech employment, wages, establishments, payroll, employment concentration, and wage differential. The report compares different U.S. regions and delves into the 16 sectors that comprise the high-tech industry for these 60 cities.

April 2, 2008:  AeA Report Shows that Texas’ Tech Job Market Experiences Substantial Growth
Nationally, Cyberstates 2008 shows that the high-tech industry added jobs for the third consecutive year. Tech industry employment totaled 5.9 million, after adding 91,400 jobs in 2007. This is on top of job gains of 139,000 in 2006 and 87,400 in 2005...read more.
