Is your company ready to comply with NEW CHINA REQUIREMENTS
restricting the use of certain substances (including lead)
in electronic products and components?

Over 250 participants learned what they must do to COMPLY beginning March 1, 2007 from the SENIOR Chinese Government Officials in charge of implementing the Restrictions on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) regulation and standards at Sun Microsystems' auditorium in Santa Clara, CA.

This was the first time that a delegation of Senior Chinese officials addressed technology companies in the U.S. on "China RoHS."

The Official Ministry of Information Industries (MII) Delegation and U.S. high-tech industry speakers addressed the following information which is critical to meeting RoHS requirements:

  • Overview of Chinese Regulatory Structure

  • Key agencies in China RoHS process

  • International Standards Activities – TC 111 involvement

  • Significant differences between “EU RoHS" and "China RoHS”

  • Technical requirements – catalog development process, mandatory pre-market testing and certification requirements

  • Labeling and marking information disclosure requirements

  • Review of requirements and effective dates

  • Market surveillance and penalties of non-compliance

  • Q & A with the official Chinese government MII delegation
