Trade Agreements Subcommittee

Background
The majority of World Trade Organization (WTO) members are partners in one or more trade agreements (e.g., regional trade agreements [RTAs] or bilateral free trade agreements [FTAs]). It has been estimated that there could be in excess of 300 agreements in force by year’s end. The increased U.S. participation and worldwide proliferation of RTAs/ FTAs is important to AeA member companies.

Objective
The objectives of this subcommittee are to:

  1. Track current status and recent developments

  2. Communicate updates and breaking developments

  3. Assist in the formulation of position papers
