Just 20 years ago, tangible assets accounted for more than 60% of a company's capitalization. Today, that percentage is below 15%! As a result, a company's intellectual property very often is the value driver in any variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings.

In this CFO Forum, experts from Fish & Richardson and two company CFOs will lead a discussion on the following issues:

• How do you determine the true Intellectual Property held by a target? It's more than reviewing patent files.

• If you are accessing the debt or equity markets or positioning your company for acquisition, what steps do you need to take to ensure that your Intellectual Property assets are ascribed the highest possible value?
