Event Overview: |
| As part of
a nationwide effort to raise awareness of the issue of U.S. Global
Competitiveness, the Texas Council of
AeA, will be hosting the Texas Competitiveness Summit, Aug. 30, at the
University of Texas, Dallas. The summit is intended to raise visibility of
the issue, allow participants to discuss how it is affecting the region and
how Texas, specifically, is combating the problem. Sen. John Cornyn will
serve as honorary chair and keynote speaker of the summit, and Ass't
Secretary of the Dept. of Education, Tom Luce, is the luncheon keynote
speaker. |

3. High Skilled Visa Reform
4. International Trends and Perspectives -
U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Commercial Service
- Asian Markets
- Latin American Markets
- European Markets
Notes and outcomes of each discussion group
will be recorded by representatives of Pariveda Solutions and summarized
for presentation in the General Session. Results of this Summit will be
forwarded by AeA to state and federal elected officials. |
