Biography

Ken Rivlin, based in New York, is head of our U.S. Environmental and Regulatory law group and a member of our 70-lawyer global environmental law group. His team advises on environmental risk in transactions, EU and U.S. environmental compliance, environmental disputes, and rules governing SEC disclosure, the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, dealings with OFAC-sanctioned countries, Exon-Florio and similar matters. Allen & Overy is a large international law firm with 2500 lawyers in 27 offices in the US, western Europe, eastern Europe, Asia, south America and the middle east. 

Formally worked as an associate in the environmental law groups at (I) Cravat Swaine & Moore and (ii) McCarter & English. Before law school, Ken worked as a press secretary and environmental policy analyst for two US Congressmen, and worked on health care issues for Senator Bill Bradley, and on numerous political campaigns. 

Currently an adjunct professor of law at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. 

Co-wrote the original AeA book on WEEE and RoHS, presented at the first AeA seminar on the topic in 2002, and have lead close to 100 seminars on WEEE, RoHS, REACH, emissions trading and other international and domestic environmental legal issues for AeA, NEMI, IPC, Silicon Valley Manufacturing Group, the Environmental Law Institute, the US Department of Commerce, the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Association, etc.

Graduate from Brown University and Boston University School of Law.
