The NASDAQ Stock Market appointed Demetrios N. Skalkotos as the Regional
Vice President for the Central US. In his role with NASDAQ, Demetrios is
responsible for growing NASDAQ’s market position in the Central Region
through client relationship management and new business development. He is
also responsible for all operations of the Chicago Office. This is
Demetrios’ second term at NASDAQ; from 1995 - 2000, he served as Managing
Director of Global Sales.
Coupled with his
previous NASDAQ experience, Demetrios' business and sales expertise are key
to boosting NASDAQ’s success in attracting new companies within the Central
region.
Prior to joining
NASDAQ, Demetrios was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for
Bear Wagner Specialists, where he led a team that was responsible for all
NASDAQ switches within the Western Region of the United States. In this
role, he advised management on listing matters, capital management, investor
relations, securities regulations, corporate governance and securities
analyst relations.
Before joining Bear Wagner Specialists, Demetrios served as Vice President
of Sales and Business Development for eVault, a software technology
company. Prior to eVault, he served as Managing Director of Global Sales
for The NASDAQ Stock Market, where he oversaw a sales team focused on the
Central and South Central Regions. He also held several sales positions at
AT&T in Indianapolis and Chicago.
Demetrios contributes
a significant portion of his time to charitable and philanthropic
activities. He served on the boards of directors of the National Kidney
Foundation of Northern California.
Demetrios graduated
from Ball State University in 1986 with a BS in Marketing and Management
Information Systems, and earned an MS in 1987 from Ball State’s Center of
Information and Communication Sciences.
