Program Recap

On August 28, more than 130 industry executives and government officials gathered for the Illinois FedTech 2008 Security Procurement Conference at the College of Dupage in Glen Ellyn, IL.  FedTech offered critical market intelligence and business development leads for attendees in the growing state and national government procurement market, with a particular focus on IT, cybersecurity, and the transportation sectors.

The program consisted of three keynote presentations by the:

  • General Services Administration.
  • U.S. Department of Transportation, and
  • Department of Defense

The format included two panel discussions that focused on Working with Prime Contractors and trends in Cybersecurity and Data Management.

The afternoon matchmaking session provided attendees an opportunity to meet face-to-face with leading prime contractors, government agencies, and potential industry partners including:

  • L3 Communications
  • DERCO Aerospace
  • SAIC
  • Motorola, Inc.
  • Johnson Controls
  • Great Lakes Dregde & Docks
  • Department of Energy
  • Illinois Central Management Services
