Learn the latest global environment
developments on RoHS, WEEE, Energy Efficiency, and more at AeA's annual
compliance roadshow. For your convenience, AeA has planned three
events across the United States to give you the vital information that you
need to remain compliant to international manufacturing standards.
These events are scheduled for:
AeA (formerly the American Electronics
Association) was founded in 1943 and today is the largest U.S. high-tech association representing nearly 2,500 companies. AeA
has been
hosting these annual roadshows for the last several years to offer member
companies and the industry first-hand insight into international compliance
issues.
Come hear the latest analysis from the leading
legal WEEE/RoHS source, Allen & Overy, LLP and receive
European Environment Updates directly from Steve Andrews, UK
Department of Trade and Industry (a leading government official).
Additionally, hear from industry peers on how their companies are complying
and from AeA's experts in International, federal, and state environment
issues.
In this interactive seminar, you will
learn:
- How to comply with EU and China
regulations that require manufacturers to finance the recycling and
disposal of most electronics waste (WEEE Directive) and restrict the use
of six Hazardous materials (RoHS Directive).
- How to ensure your products are not
stopped, or worse, rejected, at the border of an important overseas
market.
- About the status of similar legislation in
China, and in state legislatures, and what this means for the high-tech
industry.
- How focusing on eco-design & energy
efficiency can give you a competitive advantage.
- Overview of the REACH Regulation and all
requirements for downstream users. Importers of articles into the EU will
have to notify certain substances contained in these articles. Some
chemicals might be subject to authorization for use in the EU.
- Best practices from your peers.
Who should attend?
This seminar is highly recommended for all
companies who sell or have customers that sell into foreign markets.
This program is designed to enable your managers, compliance executives,
legal departments and environmental and facilities professionals to better
understand and comply with these directives. We strongly encourage you
to bring your business and channel partners with you, since working together
on these new requirements is essential to your company's success.
