On Thursday, March 22, technology executives, Legislators, state agency CIOs and other officials shaping Florida's future met at the Capitol in Tallahassee

The purpose of this event was to:

• Engage State Agency CIOs

• Connect with Legislators

• Gain Outlook on IT Appropriations

We began the day with lobby visits and from there we were joined by Senator Jeremy Ring for lunch. Jeremy Ring addressed the group regarding education, venture capital and economic diversity.

After lunch, we heard from four leading technology companies on Technologies' Impact on Government

Finally, to end the day, Ron Lauver, CIO, FL Dept. of Education and Scott McPherson, CIO, FL House of Representatives discussed their top priorities, pipeline projects, challenges and funding requests.
