Information & Agenda

Take the driver’s seat at the AeA Southern California Hi-Tech Track Day for CXO Professionals on Wednesday, May 31st. We have planned a fun day at the track for learning how to better handle our cars at speed and skid control along with some business networking between driving sessions and class time. Gain behind-the-wheel driving skills, negotiate the "Streets of Willow" 14-turn roadcourse and see if you have what it takes to be in the driver’s seat.

The driving education will be both "in class" and "on track" driving instruction. Use you own car on the 1.8 mile winding track "Streets of Willow" or rent one of SpeedVenture's track-ready vehicles (at an additional cost). Racing helmets will be provided while on the track but participants are encouraged to bring their own DOT Snell rated motorcycle or car helmets. Experienced Performance Driving Instructors will be on hand to give everyone personalized instruction and in-car coaching to make your experience the best it can be.

Driver Networking Hour - We will be holding an informal Driver Networking Hour Tuesday evening, May 30,  from 8:00-9:00pm at the Essex House Bar. Aaron Bitterman of SpeedVentures will give an introduction to the sport of racing and briefing on the next day's CXO Track Day Event. Hear some great stories and meet your fellow "racing team" in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. There is no charge to attend this Driver Networking Hour but kindly RSVP.

Location

About Willow Springs Raceway…
Willow Springs International Motorsports Park is a 600-acre complex of six racetracks embracing nearly every conceivable motor sports discipline. The park is located about an hour north of Los Angeles, California near Lancaster.

The original track at the facility, Willow Springs International Raceway, celebrates its 50th birthday this year, and is steeped in historical significance. Construction of the track began in 1952, with the inaugural event held on November 23, 1953. The fact that it has been running continuously since then has caused the state of California to recognize Willow Springs International Raceway as an Official California Point of Historical Interest. This world-famous track hosted the first two NASCAR events west of the Mississippi, the first F.I.M. 500 Grand Prix motorcycle race in America, the first AMA events, the first 24-hour motorcycle endurance race, the first kart road racing in America, and the first California Sports Car Club racing on a purpose-built road course. Over the years, track records have been set and broken many times by internationally famous drivers and riders.

Willow Springs International Motorsports Park has six racetracks with various configurations. The Streets of Willow Springs, a 1.8-mile road course with 14 -turns and attached skid pad, will be the location for the Hi-Tech Track Day event.
