Growing Your Business in Silicon Valley/Northern California

As 2008 rushes to the crescendo close of the holidays, the AeA Silicon Valley/Northern CA Council is pleased to continue to present our members many exciting opportunities in spite of the challenging economic environment.  Please plan to take advantage of these opportunities to get the knowledge and tools to maximize your company’s potential and thrive:

  • Attracting Institutional Investors in a Challenging Environment & AeA Classic – November 2-5, 2008
A timely and successful webinar held on September 23rd and attended by audiences across the U.S. featured high-tech CFOs, IR firms, and institutional investors.  Panelist Rich Arnold, COO and CFO of Phoenix Technologies, said, “The AeA Classic is the best conference I do every year because of the intimacy of the meetings with investors.  I can’t understand why any high-tech company would not attend this conference.”

  • Mastering Leadership Skills Workshop – November 4, 2008
This key workshop will ensure your employees that your company still has a vested interest in their success by equipping them with the soft-skills training necessary for your new and recently promoted managers to build productive teams in a convenient 1-day interactive format, minimizing and maximizing your employee’s time.

  • Advancement of Technical Women in Management – November 18, 2008
AeA and the Anita Borg Institute (ABI) are excited to host this key event featuring Dr. Telle Whitney, ABI President & CEO, and Dr. Caroline Simard, ABI Director of Research.  The event will highlight both the obstacles faced by women in technology and the solutions to overcoming those barriers featured in their recently released report.

  • Getting Ahead of the Curve on Looming Workforce Crisis – December 2008
AeA's Silicon Valley/No. CA Council is pleased to partner with NOVA to deliver this educational seminar providing critical information to HR professionals on how to manage workforce reductions during these challenging economic times.  About NOVA: NOVA is a public agency with 25 years experience in delivering customized workforce and business services in the greater Silicon Valley.
