What:
Federal, state and local governments will spend nearly $150 billion for IT products and services in 2003. Even if you currently do not sell to the government you will want to attend this practical seminar that will help you understand what technologies and services the government is seeking. AeA will be bringing in officials from Washington and the state of Georgia in back to back seminars on June 18 & 19 that will:

  • Provide you with access to government procurement officials who will identify potential for significant revenue producing opportunities for your company within a market that is growing
  • Hear from the Office of Senior Procurement Executive, Department of Transportation (DOT will spend nearly $3 billion on IT this year)
  • Opportunity to meet with key teaming partners that can serve as a point of entry into government markets
  • Demonstrate market intelligence that will help you identify the potential addressable market for your company
  • Learn about the pitfalls to avoid when working with the government
  • And much more!

Why:
The technology industry is expected to be in high demand over the next several years to provide solutions for improving business processes, communications and homeland security.  Although the opportunities exist for companies to get involved in government markets, the experience or knowledge the industry has in how to do so is limited.  For this reason, AeA is taking a proactive role in providing the tools necessary to increase our members' access to federal, state and local procurement opportunities.

Who:
This program is open to employees of technology companies only.  CEOs. COOs, Business Development Professionals, Sr. VPs in Sales or Marketing, etc are the suggested audience.
