On
January 24, 2007, AeA New England presented Delivering Difficult
Performance Messages, a morning program that helped attendees learn a
practical method that they could take back to their offices and begin to
utilize immediately. Presenter for the program, Jamie Resker, Principal
of Employee Performance Solutions, a
consulting firm specializing in helping managers address employee
performance issues, came up with what she calls the
Performance Continuum Feedback Method. View

On
December 14, 2006, AeA New England presented a Human Resources
Roundtable, Background Checks: Avoiding the Bad Hire.
Held at Cummings Park in Woburn, MA, the program was attended by
approximately 20 high tech industry professionals. Presenters for
the program, Stephanie Bruce, Esq. and Brian Lamkin, Esq., both of the
Boston-based law firm, Edward, Angell, Palmer & Dodge, LLP, did an
impressive job of providing a wealth of information on a very
pertinent topic.

On Thursday, December 7, 2006, AeA New England presented an
ITAR seminar,
U.S. Export Controls: Key Regulatory Compliance and Security
Considerations. The seminar, part of AeA’s International series, was
preceded by a successful one-hour ITAR webinar, held back in October
and, again, presented by AeA New England. Both ITAR programs were
presented by Kerry Scarlott, Esq., of AeA Signature member,
Posternak,
Blankstein & Lund, LLP. Additional presenters at the
seminar included Marija Jankovich, Esq., also of Posternak, Blankstein
and Lund, LLP and David McCaffrey, a Senior Consultant
specializing in Corporate Security and Regulatory Compliance.

October 31, 2006, AeA New England held its first webinar, sponsored by
ACT Teleconferencing. The
topic, U.S. Export Controls: Determining Which Regulatory
Regime Applies to Your Business, was presented by Kerry Scarlott,
Esq., Partner at Posternak Blankstein and & Lund LLP. The webinar was attended by
approximately 40 executives and managers who were either engaged in,
or interested in engaging in, international trade. Tech companies of all sizes and from all over
the country participated, plus one from the United Kingdom. This webinar preceded a live

Controls: Update on Key Regulatory Compliance and Security
Considerations, held December 7th.

Conference, What, Why & How the Government is Buying on September 15, 2006 at the Volpe Center in Cambridge, MA.
Sponsored by Donoghue, Barrett &
Singal, LLP, the event featured Mr. Vernon M. Bettencourt,
Jr., Deputy CIO, U.S. Army, who spoke about Technology Trends,
Challenges and Priorities.. Army. He was
joined by Louis Gutierrez, CIO for the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts, who gave a presentation on
Massachusetts IT Architecture Standards and their Governance.

On
July 20, 2006, AeA New England held it's fifth annual high-tech update,
Practical Insights on China. The event, hosted by
BTU in North Billerica, MA and sponsored by
Nair & Co., had approximately 50
people in attendance, who had the opportunity to hear from individuals
such as Greg Shea of AeA's Beijing office, speaking about How China is
Changing U.S. High-Tech as well as two
company CEOs, who shared stories about their experiences Operating and
Investing in China. Yang Guohua of the
Chinese Embassy gave an
update on IP Protection and China and two individuals from event sponsor,
Nair & Co., gave the audience some Practical Guidance and Advice on
Entering China.

AeA New England held our
annual Tech Fusion Forum and Wine Tasting on June 22, 2006 at AeA Member
Microsoft's Technology Center in Waltham, MA. In addition to
sampling some fine wines, attendees heard a presentation on corporate
effectiveness and decision making from Luda Kopeikina, author of The
Right Decision Every Time: How to Reach Perfect Clarity on Tough Decisions
(Prentice Hall), drawing on her breakthrough research at MIT with over 100
CEOs to offer a revolutionary framework for achieving the clarity you need
to make outstanding decisions under pressure. Participants also had the
opportunity to tour event host Microsoft's state of the art Technology
Center during the event.

On June 8, 2006, AeA held a seminar on ITAR:
What Every Technology Company Needs to Know at AeA Member Agilent
Technologies in Andover. Attendees learned that the International Traffic
in Arms Regulations (ITAR) apply to a wide variety of wholly benign
(non-lethal) products and services, and many dual use technology products.
Watch for more information for another seminar on this topic which will be
held in coming months.

In February, AeA held a private dinner for senior executives sponsored
