AeA Midwest Council Expands Executive
Board
Oakbrook Terrace, IL: May 24, 2007 – The Midwest Council of the AeA, the
nation's largest high-tech trade association, announced today the addition of
several prominent industry leaders to its board. AeA has also named existing
board member T. Kendall Hunt, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, VASCO Data
Security International, Inc. (NASDAQ (GM): VDSI), Vice Chair of the Midwest
Council.
Joining the Midwest board are: Marty R. Kittrell, Chief Financial Officer,
Andrew Corporation (NASDAQ (GS): ANDW); Thomas R. Reedy, President & Chief
Executive Officer, iTRACS Corporation; Joseph A. Beatty, Chief Financial
Officer, Telular Corporation (NASDAQ (GM): WRLS); Darcy Davidsmeyer, Director,
State and Local Government Relations, Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT); Gary R.
Fairhead, President & Chief Executive Officer, SigmaTron International, Inc.
(NASDAQ (CM): SGMA); and William S. Johnson, Vice President, Chief Financial
Officer, Cabot Microelectronics Corporation (NASDAQ (GS): CCMP).
AeA’s Midwest board has responsibility for the direction and strategy for the
organization in the Midwest region, and its efforts to effectively represent the
high-tech industry in the way of advocacy, programs, and related initiatives.
Marty Singer, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, PCTEL, Inc. (NASDAQ (GM): PCTI),
who continues as Chairman of the Board, said, “This is a high-energy team that
represents some the most innovative companies in the Midwest high-tech industry.
I welcome Ken Hunt as Vice-Chair. Ken is among the most successful high-tech
entrepreneurs in the region. He and I are both committed to drawing upon the
resources of AeA to best serve the interests of our member companies.”
