Allen & Overy LLP and AeA announce
that Spitalfields Projects LLP* has launched a new WEEE/RoHS website.
EU Environmental Law Compliance is a new online service designed to
help companies comply with the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment Directive (WEEE) and the EU Restriction of Hazardous
Substances Directive (RoHS).
Key features include:
- Up-to-date information on WEEE and RoHS in each Member State of
the European Union, including answers to many of the questions most
frequently asked by companies
- User-friendly summaries of 30 critical compliance issues across
all EU Member States, including WEEE registration requirements,
reporting obligations, available compliance schemes and more
- WEEE registration forms (along with English translations) and
copies of applicable legislation and guidance when available
- Color-coded charts with easy-to-use summaries of Member State
positions on key issues, such as availability of particular product
and application exemptions, which party in the sales channels is
considered primarily responsible for compliance obligations, and
whether a local establishment is needed for registration
The website will be available for a fee and by subscription only.
