Brown Raysman Managing Partner: Richard Raysman
Richard Raysman concentrates on computer law, outsourcing and intellectual property
issues. He has significant experience in structuring technology transactions, and his
information technology background and understanding of the law have made him uniquely
qualified to represent clients for technology issues.
Mr. Raysman speaks and writes extensively on technology
issues. He is the co-author of the books Emerging Technologies and the Law: Forms and
Analysis, Computer Law: Drafting and Negotiating Forms and Agreements, and the
treatise Intellectual Property Licensing: Forms and Analysis. He also writes a
monthly column on computer law for the New York Law Journal.
Mr. Raysman is past Chair of the Business Law Section of
the New York State Bar Association and past Chair of its Finance Committee. He is a member
of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the American and International Bar
Associations, the Computer Law Association and the Licensing Executives Society. Prior to
practicing law, he was a systems engineer for IBM Corporation for six years.
He is admitted to the New York and Connecticut Bars, the
U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, the U.S. District courts, Southern and Eastern
Districts of New York, and the United States Supreme Court.

Steiner LLP, Mr. Raysman practices out of the New York office, where he is also a managing
partner.
