Matthew Kazmierczak
Vice President, Research and Industry Analysis |
Matthew Kazmierczak is the Vice President, Research and Industry Analysis for AeA, the nation’s largest trade association representing the high-technology industry.
Matthew has been with AeA for nine years and was one of the founding members of AeA's Research Department. During this time, he has worked on a wide variety of research reports quantifying the high-tech industry at the international, national, state, and local level. Of these reports, the best known is AeA's premier annual
Cyberstates report, which examines high-tech employment on a state-by-state basis.
In 2004, Matthew tackled the issue of Offshore Outsourcing and in 2005 has been focusing on the issue of U.S. competitiveness. He co-authored a comprehensive report on
U.S. competitiveness in February 2005 and has followed this up with select papers addressing key competitiveness issues, such as
CAFTA, the U.S. patent
system, and mid-year tech employment for
2005. These reports have help bring the issue of U.S. competitiveness to the forefront of the policy agenda in Washington, D.C. and around the United States.
Matthew regularly fields questions from AeA members, researchers, and the press seeking information about the high-tech industry.
Prior to joining AeA, Matthew worked for Congressman Norman Mineta for three years. Matthew has a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University and dual Bachelor degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Irvine.
