AeA Announces New Chairman of National Board of Directors
John V. Harker, InFocus Chairman, to serve through FY 2005

Washington, D.C. (12/02/04) - AeA, the nation’s largest high-tech trade association, today announced that John V. Harker, Chairman of InFocus Corporation (Nasdaq: INFS), has been elected AeA’s Chairman of the Board of Directors.

AeA, founded in 1943, is a national association that represents all segments of the technology industry and is dedicated to helping its members’ top and bottom lines by lobbying governments at the state, federal, and international levels, providing access to capital and business opportunities, and offering select business services and networking programs.

As Chairman, Mr. Harker will drive and oversee the policies that will guide AeA in the coming year.

"John brings to this position an intrinsic understanding of the high-tech industry and the needs of its members," said AeA President and CEO Bill Archey. “AeA is very much looking forward to his leadership and direction as Chairman.”

Mr. Harker is Chairman of the Board of InFocus Corporation. He became president and CEO of InFocus in April 1992, and was named chairman in 1994. Under his leadership, InFocus has emerged as the industry leader in digital projection. The company is known for innovation and has expanded its markets to include consumer, home theater projection, and image engines for High Definition Television.

From 1984 to 1992 he was Executive Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of Genicom Corporation, a manufacturer of computer printers. Before that, Mr. Harker served as Senior Vice President for Marketing and Corporate Development of Data Products, Inc. (1982-84), and as Vice President and partner of Booz Allen & Hamilton (1979-82). Still earlier (1963-79), he worked at IBM Corporation in various managerial and executive capacities. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Colorado.

Mr. Harker is a member of the Business Advisory Council of the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado and chairs the Business Advisory Council at the School of Business Administration at Portland State University. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) and is on the Executive Advisory and Review Committee of Alexander Hutton Venture Partners, L.P. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Max.Viz, an enhanced vision system manufacturer for the aviation industry.
