Three High-Tech Companies from Capital Region to Meet Investors at 10th Annual AeA Micro Cap Financial Conference

Washington, DC (April 29, 2008) – Three companies from the national capital region will present to investors at the 10th Annual AeA Micro Cap Financial Conference. Up to 100 companies representing 25 states will present at the conference. This year for the first time, the conference will feature a track on alternative energy/green tech companies, including a panel discussion hosted by Needham & Company, LLC. AeA, the nation’s largest high-tech trade association, will host the conference from May 4-6 at the Monterey Plaza Hotel in Monterey, California.

“The unique, neutral format at AeA’s Micro Cap Financial Conference allows high-tech executives to connect with investors and pair off for intimate discussions about various technologies, strategic missions, trend analyses, and investment potential,” said Goldy Kamali, Executive Director, Government and Commercial Markets Group, AeA. “The presentation format is ideally suited for the frank, one-on-one discussions that must take place to establish these important relationships.”

“Opportunities for efficient access to portfolio managers interested in small, high-growth tech companies are scarce,” said Thomas Brandt, CFO of TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. “The AeA Micro Cap conference venue has enabled our company to meet new prospective investors and to update others on our story in a format that is conducive to productive information exchange.”

Companies representing every sector and region of the high-technology industry will present their business plans at the AeA Micro Cap Conference this year. Sectors include software, computer hardware, semiconductor, telecommunications, wireless, defense technology, security, and medical devices.

Companies participating from the national capital region include: Optelecom-NKF, Inc.; Optical Cable Corporation; and TeleCommunication Systems, Inc.
