Santa Clara, CA and Washington, DC (April 17,
2008) – Now in its 10th year, the AeA Micro Cap Financial Conference
continues to provide public technology companies with the perfect venue to
showcase their companies to key technology investors. This year for the first
time, the conference will feature a track on alternative energy/green tech
companies with a panel discussion hosted by Needham & Company, LLC. AeA, the
nation’s largest high-tech trade association, will host the conference from May
4-6 at the Monterey Plaza Hotel in Monterey, California.
“Now more than ever, it is critical for high-tech executives to meet directly
with investors and analysts to explain their strategies for growth amidst
current business conditions,” said Elaine Sanders, Senior Vice President,
Financial Conferences, Executive Education
& Affinity Programs, AeA. “Given the current emphasis on alternative energy and
green tech companies, adding a special track for this emerging market will be a
value-add for investors.”
On Tuesday, May 6th, the AeA Micro Cap will feature a new track focusing on
alternative energy/green tech companies. Needham & Company, LLC will host a
panel, "Investing in Innovative Clean Tech Solutions", that will be moderated by
Ted Kundtz, the company’s Senior Research Analyst, Clean Tech and Industrial
Growth. Panelists include: Jeffrey Ciachurski, Chief Executive Officer, Western
Wind Energy; Douglas Lawson, Vice President of Marketing and Business
Development, Alternative Energy for BTU International; and Reuben Richards, Jr.,
Executive Chairman, Chairman of the Board, Emcore Corporation.
The unique, neutral format allows executives from 100 technology companies and
more than 250 investors to pair off for intimate small group discussions around
technologies, strategic missions, trend analyses and investment potential.
