The AeA Export Controls Committee is recognized by the U.S. Department
of Commerce and Members of the U.S. Congress as a leading source

the impact of high tech export control regulations and legislation.
The focus of the AeA Export Controls
Committee is to educate and keep AeA members current on
U.S. export control issues on dual-use goods and technology, as well as to work with
Congress and the Administration as necessary to make U.S. export controls streamlined,
effective, and transparent for both government and industry.
The committee is made up of over 175 export
compliance professionals from U.S. high technology companies. It is
one of the largest and most active committees in AeA.

The
AeA Export Controls Committee has the following subcommittees which function
as working groups. These subcommittees develop position papers,
comment letters, education events, best practices documents, and work
closely with government agencies as representatives from the high tech
industry on export control matters.
The committee meets quarterly, bringing in guest speakers from Capitol Hill
and the
Administration. The subcommittee working groups also provide updates on their
activities during these
meetings.
On a daily basis, committee members are kept abreast
of export control issues via emails covering news articles, new regulations
and hearings
on Capitol Hill.
