During this program, the moderator and expert panelists will give a comprehensive overview and best practices on executive succession with respect to the Board of Directors. Those attending will have opportunities to network with the panelists and other attendees.
What Attendees Will Learn:
- A perspective on the various situations for CEO succession – from planned succession to succession because of a crisis.
- An understanding of the issues when the former CEO remains in the company or on the Board after succession.
- What is the Boards role in developing a routine succession plan for the current CEO and key executives.
- What role should the Board have in developing CEO candidates internal to the
company.
- The process for CEO succession after an abrupt departure of the CEO.

A principal in Austin Capital Management, LLC, in Beaverton, Ore. and member of the Oregon State Board of Higher Education. Kirby serves on several boards including, OHSU’s governing board; the public company boards of Merix Corporation and Itron Corporation; plus three local private company boards.

Company. Mr. Richardson is a member of the board of directors of Digimarc Corporation, and Tripwire, Inc. He is also a trustee of Lewis & Clark College and a board member (and Vice President of the board) of the Oregon Historical Society.

J. Sharp, Chairman of the Board, TriQuint
Semiconductor, Inc. Mr. Sharp joined TriQuint Semiconductor in September 1991 as director, president and chief executive officer. In May 1992, he became chairman of our board. In July 2002, Mr. Sharp stepped down as president and chief executive officer of TriQuint, and in September 2004, he resigned as an employee of the company but remains as chairman of the board of directors of TriQuint. Sharp also serves as a director of Power Integrations, Inc. and Ambric, Inc.

Mr. Tromley has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of
Tromley Industrial Holdings, Inc., since its formation in 1990. Mr.
Tromley is a member of the Board of Directors of the Harvard Business
School Alumni Association and Northwest Natural Company. Complete

Scott
Gibson, President, Gibson Enterprises, Chairman of the Board, RadiSys
Corporation. Since
March 1992, Mr. Gibson has been a director of a number of high technology
companies and not-for-profit organizations. Scott is a director of
Pixelworks, Inc., Electroglas, Inc., Northwest Natural Company, TriQuint
Semiconductor, and Verigy. Mr. Gibson also serves on the Board of Trustees
of Olin School of Engineering and is the Vice Chairman of the Oregon
Health and Sciences University Governing and Foundation Board of Trustees
and as a director of the Oregon Community Foundation. Complete
