Please Note:  Impacts of New Ethics Law - Companies and individuals participating in AeA’s Party in the Pinot should be aware of the new Oregon ethics law and its restrictions on public officials.  Companies and individuals purchasing tables or individual tickets for Party in the Pinot CANNOT host public officials at their tables

Ethics laws restrict annual “gift” amounts to $50, and tickets to Party in the Pinot have a value of $250. The definition of “public official” is very broad, and includes anyone doing anything on behalf of government, whether elected or appointed, paid or unpaid, well-known or obscure, state or local. Because AeA and its member companies have a “legislative or administrative interest” in many aspects of government, the restrictions should be followed.

Contact Jim Craven in the AeA Oregon Council for more information at 503-624-6050.
