On September 27th,
2005, AeA presented a breakfast program on Driving Corporate Valuation with a Dynamic Investor Presentation. The event was sponsored by
Sharon Merrill Associates, Inc.
and was hosted by AeA member NMS Communications
in Framingham, MA. The program event was designed to help CEOs and CFOs who
make investor presentations better define their corporate messaging and
drive increased investor interest.
David Calusdian,
Executive Vice President, Sharon Merrill Associates, Inc.,
reviewed how to
efficiently communicate your company’s aspirations and prospects in a way best understood by investors.
Using illustrations from real companies, he showed how poor investor presentations
and lackluster messaging can prevent companies from building visibility and credibility.
He contrasted those with additional real life examples of presentations that
showcased a company's strengths and clearly communicated its value
proposition and position in the marketplace.
David then offered numerous practical tips on
putting together a presentation that stood out
from the crowd. He noted how important it was to address information
in each slide, prepare slides with clarity and succinctness and use voice
and body language to communicate enthusiasm and professionalism about the
company and its prospects..
Special
thanks to Sharon Merrill Associates, Inc. for sponsoring this program and to NMS Communications for hosting
it.
Overall, the program was met with enthusiasm and a greater appreciation for AeA's role in assisting our members
access capital and build investor interest.
Among these are the
AeA Financial Classic Conference (November 2005) or
AeA Micro Cap Conference (May 2006) for public technology companies
and the
AeA
Venture Forum (March 2006) for private companies. Contact AeA for
more information on how we can help your company better access capital or
investor interest.
BONUS OFFER One such program is through a special
bonus offer extended with this IR program. Since a dynamic presentation can make all the difference in attracting investors, AeA
New England has made arrangements to offer all attendees of the AeA Classic or
the AeA
Micro Cap an opportunity to make the most of your upcoming presentation. We have partnered with an executive coach who expertly counsels public company CEOs and CFOs on developing and delivering more powerful investor presentations. During a training session at your offices, you
will be given immediate feedback and advice as you review your work on videotape. You will learn to deliver your key messages effectively and ensure that the audience understands your story. You also will become skilled in using your voice and body language to make your presentation more dynamic. Contact AeA’s Anne Doherty Johnson for information on AeA member only pricing for this half-day training session for one or two executives from your firm.
