Third Annual Update

Event Summary
Speaking at AeA's  recent China program were (left to right):  Rory Cowan, CEO, Lionbridge Technologies; Anne Stevenson-Yang, AeA- China; Mark Rosenzweig, CEO, BTU International, Inc. and Robert C. Meissner, President and Senior Consultant, MEI Search Consultants, LLC.

Back for the third consecutive year, AeA presented the Practical Insights on Doing Business in China Seminar. The event was sponsored by AeA member MEI Search Consultants and was hosted by AeA member BTU International, Inc. in North Billerica, MA.

Anne Stevenson-Yang, Managing Director at AeA's Beijing office, addressed trends and trade and investment opportunities for U.S. high-tech companies.  (Read about AeA's 2004 trade trip to China.)  Two AeA member company CEOs, Mark Rosenzweig, CEO of BTU International, Inc. and Rory J. Cowan, CEO of Lionbridge Technologies, Inc.,  then shared observations and do's and don'ts on approaching the China market.  The program ended with a presentation live from China via telephone from Tony Dickel, CEO of MEI Search Consultants' MRI China division, on how to recruit and keep top talent in China.

This AeA seminar provided an excellent opportunity for member company senior executives to meet and learn about global opportunities and best practices in China in an informal, intimate setting. Special thanks to BTU International for hosting this event.
