More than fifty industry executives gathered on September 20th to network and gain insight on trends in the IT government market and discover the best strategies for identifying, qualifying and winning government contracts.

Attendees heard firsthand from local procurement officials on how and why government agencies purchase and award contracts. Michael Balsam with Onvia, Antonio Hylton with Cook County, and Michael Bevis with the City of Naperville provided their expertise in the government procurement process and the future needs in the government IT arena.

AeA's Trends in State & Local Government program is part of an ongoing initiative started in 1943 by AeA to bring Federal, State, and Local CIOs, Program Managers, and Procurement Officials together with the leaders of the high-tech industry to discuss the challenges and opportunities between the public and private sector.
