Hardik Bhatt recently accepted the position of Chief Information
Officer for the City of Chicago.
Mr. Bhatt previously held the position of Deputy Director of IT & Planning
for Chicago where he lead the efforts to implement innovative traffic
planning and Intelligent Transportation Technology initiatives throughout
the city. Prior to that position, Bhatt served as the Manager of Software
Technology for the Chicago Police Department (CPD). In this role he
managed the in-house team of developers and project managers, as well as
consultants; lead the development of the Citizens & Law Enforcement
Analysis & Reporting (CLEAR) system; and standardized project management
processes in the Information Services Division of the CPD.
Prior to his tenure with the City of Chicago, Mr. Bhatt worked for Oracle
Corporation, Nextgen Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services, and AIMS
Group.
Mr. Bhatt earned his Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management,
Northwestern University, in 2005 and holds a B.E. in Computer Science form
the Maharaja Sayajirao University in Baroda, India. He has been awarded
the QOOL Consultant from the Oracle Corporation and also received an
Honorable Mention award from the Chicago Police Department.
