Erik Peter is a Senior Staff Strategic Planner with Intel’s Client Platform Architecture and Planning organization within the Digital Enterprise Group. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialty in Computer Architecture from the University of Portland in 1995. Erik has been with Intel for 13+ years in numerous customer support, PC motherboard and system design engineering, and desktop PC strategic planning roles. He has broad understanding and extensive experience in PC architecture and PC systems integration topics with a specialty focus on power, form factors, and integration cost. Erik has participated on Intel’s behalf in a number of industry development efforts including JEDEC DDR2 spec development, BTX form factor development, and most recently in the development of the Energy Star v4.0 spec for PC’s.
