Mar 19, 2010 Dallas, TX	FIRST Robotics Dallas Regional Competition The FIRST Robotics Dallas regional competition brings high school students from the DFW area together to compete to earn a spot in the FIRST World Championships. The students have been tasked to compete under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, and have had to design a team brand and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It's as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors have also lent their time and talents to guide each team.
