AeA Orange County Appoints Interim Executive Director, Don Hicks

Search committee formed to name permanent replacement

IRVINE, Calif., July 13, 2007 – AeA, the largest technology trade association in the United States, today announced the appointment of Don Hicks as interim executive director of the Orange County Council. AeA has formed a search committee and hopes to name a permanent replacement soon. Hicks joins the council as Tim Jemal departs to become the senior vice president of government relations for a Washington, D.C.-based technology trade association.

“We are excited that Don has accepted the position of interim executive director and look forward to working with him over the next few months,” said Peter Craig, chairman of AeA Orange County. “During the last two years Tim has contributed invaluable knowledge and growth to the council. We wish him the best of luck in his new position.”

Hicks is a practice director at Quantum Leaders, Inc. and brings more than 20 years of sales leadership experience to the council. Hicks most recently served the AeA Orange County as the chair of the membership committee, a member of the sales and marketing committee, and a member of the executive committee.
