If you are a member company executive and would like to serve on one of our committees, please contact Betty Baker, 408.987.42

Executive Committee:  Serves as the Council oversight committee for the direction of the working committees and membership development.  Sends representatives to report at the National Board Meetings.

  • Meeting Schedule: Meetings are generally held the third Friday of each month from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Program Committee:  Works to identify "hot" industry issues and identify recognized speakers on those topics. What emerges is a seminar or conference to address the issue on behalf of our members. See the events page to get an idea of what they've been planning.

  • Mission: To assist in retaining AeA members and attracting new members by developing and sponsoring programs and activities having educational and networking value and current interest for executives of local companies.
The Programs Committee seeks to meet the needs of AeA member companies by providing them with the bottom line information and education about new issues of concern to the high-tech industry.

Legislative Action Network:   Focuses on educating both our members and our area legislators on the potential outcomes of legislative movements.  This committee hosts luncheons and gives private briefings to legislators upon request.

  • Mission: The Legislative Action Network works to influence both the state and federal levels by working with elected and appointed officials on issues affecting the high tech industry.

Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 Working Group: In response to member concerns, AeA has launched a grassroots initiative to modify Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and has recently released a white paper on the topic.  All 18 Councils of AeA's nationwide grassroots network have established working groups on this issue.  For more information or to join this committee please contact Betty Baker at 408.987.4265 or betty_baker@aeanet.org.

National Government Affairs Committees:  Get the most out of your membership by joining one of our many national government affairs committees -- participation is open to any AeA member company, and there is no limit to the number of employees per company who sign up.  Learn more about all of AeA's International, National and State Government Affairs Committees at www.aeanet.org/committees.
