AeA, founded in 1943, is a nationwide trade association that represents all segments of the technology industry and is dedicated solely to helping our members’ top line and bottom line. We do this in partnership with our small, medium, and large member companies by lobbying governments at the state, federal, and international levels; providing access to capital and business opportunities; and offering select business services and networking programs.  

The AeA Silicon Valley/Northern CA Council was founded in 1986 and serves member companies in Central California, Northern California, and HawaiiMember companies enjoy outstanding opportunities to network with industry leaders and communicate the needs of Silicon Valley business to government officials.


Our primary purpose is helping our members’ top and bottom lines

Chairperson

Julianne M. Biagini
Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President
Endwave Corporation

Julianne M. Biagini is the Chairperson of the AeA Silicon Valley/Northern CA Council and serves on the national Board of Directors.  

Ms. Biagini has served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration of the Endwave Corporation since May 2001.  Ms. Biagini joined Endwave in March 1994, and previously served as Vice President of Finance and Administration and Corporate Secretary.  Prior to joining Endwave, Ms. Biagini was the Manager of Accounting and Tax at Exponent, Inc. (formerly Failure Analysis Associates), an engineering and scientific consulting firm, from 1992 until 1994.  Prior to 1992, Ms. Biagini worked at KPMG Peat Marwick as a tax specialist. Ms. Biagini is a C.P.A. in California with a B.S. in business administration from San Jose State University and an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University. 



Betty Baker

Betty Baker is the Executive Director of AeA’s Silicon Valley/Northern CA Council located in Santa Clara, California. 

As Executive Director, she will work to increase AeA’s presence in the Silicon Valley, expand membership, and serve the existing membership with a wide array of products and services uniquely provided by AeA.

Prior to joining AeA, Ms. Baker served as Director of Business Development for Oracle Corporation, and also held positions in Partner Alliances and Sales Management.  While at Oracle, Ms. Baker teamed closely with Corporate Marketing, Field Marketing, Development and Engineering Teams in rolling out some of Oracle’s key initiatives to Oracle’s global field teams. 

Before coming to Oracle, Ms. Baker served for ten years as the Western Regional Partner Manager, Sales Manager, and Account Executive at Digital Equipment Corporation. Ms. Baker holds Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and International Marketing from San Jose State University.
 



Angela Wimmers
Director of Membership Development,
South Bay

Angela Sanchez Wimmers is the Director of Membership Development for the Silicon Valley/Northern CA Council. Angela works diligently on behalf of member companies in the South Bay to leverage the wide range of AeA benefits to increase profitability and productivity.

With over 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry, she served as a consultant to Silicon Valley based startups in various vertical markets prior to coming to AeA. Her clients included technology, healthcare, e-government, and environmental management firms.

For many years, she served as editor-in-chief of Informix’s journal Informix Tech Notes, a role that involved working with leading technologists and executives. She also served as editor of three books published by Prentice Hall Professional Technical Reference.

Angela holds a BA from St. Mary’s College and an MA from Holy Names College, and completed post-graduate studies in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley.
 



Colette Gonsalves

Colette Gonsalves is the Program and Retention Coordinator for the Silicon Valley/Northern CA Council.  Colette comes to AeA as a recent college graduate from San Jose State University, where she received her BA in English with a Concentration in Career Writing.

In addition to her educational background in communications, Colette has experience in the various aspects of organizing and ensuring a successful event.

She comes most recently from Adobe where she not only worked in, but helped develop the department for their Conference Center.
