AeA, founded in 1943, is a nationwide trade
association that represents all segments of the technology industry and is
dedicated solely to helping our members’ top line and bottom line. We do
this in partnership with our small, medium, and large member companies by
lobbying governments at the state, federal, and international levels;
providing access to capital and business opportunities; and offering select
business services and networking programs.
The AeA Midwest Council serves member
companies in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa,
Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and
Wisconsin.

T. Kendall Hunt
Chairman and CEO
VASCO |
Mr. Hunt is Chairman of the Board and
Chief Executive Officer of VASCO. He served as our Chief Executive Officer
through June 1999. He returned as CEO in November 2002. He has been
a director since July 1997 and currently serves a one-year term. He
served since 1990 as Chairman and President of our predecessor,
VASCO Corp. Hunt is also affiliated with several high-tech early-stage
companies, serving as a member of their board of directors. He is a
member of the Board of Directors of Global Med Technologies, Inc,
listed on the OTC Bulletin Board (Symbol: GLOB).
Mr. Hunt is
President of the Belgian Business Club of Chicago. Additionally, he
is on the Advisory Board for the Posse Foundation, an organization
dedicated to providing full college scholarships to urban minority
youth leaders through its partnerships with elite universities
across the U.S.
He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, Malibu,
California, 1979, and a BBA from the University of Miami, Florida,

Ed Longanecker is the
Executive Director of AeA’s Midwest Council, based in Oakbrook
Terrace, IL.
Founded in the 1943 by David Packard and William Hewlett, AeA is the
nation’s largest high-tech trade association representing nearly 2,500
companies that span the spectrum of the technology industry. With 20
offices and more than 100 full time staff, AeA provides a
comprehensive portfolio of resources designed to help companies
operate more effectively and efficiently, with an emphasis on both
bottom and top line issues. AeA's Midwest Council represents 120
high-tech companies and is dedicated to fostering growth in the
Midwest region by effectively representing our industry on a host of
legislative issues, promoting our region as a center of innovation and
new product development, and providing high-tech companies access to
AeA’s wide array of member resources.
Ed joined AeA in 1999 and relocated to Chicago from Dallas in 2004,
where he spent five years as the managing director of AeA’s Texas
Council.
Ed currently serves on Mayor Richard M. Daley’s Council of
Technology Advisors (MCTA),
BiTmaP's Board of Advisors, the Illinois Innovation Talent
Advisory Board, the Illinois IT Task Force, the Illinois Broadband
Deployment Council, and is a long time advocate of high
tech. Ed currently represents many of our industry’s leading companies
on a host of critical issues at the state and local level.
Prior to joining AeA, Ed
was Vice President of Can-Tex Energy Corp., an independent oil and gas
drilling company based in Dallas, TX. Ed holds an undergraduate degree
in Business Management and an MBA from Amberton University. Ed
currently resides in Naperville, IL with his two children and wife,
Heather. |
